I had the following goodies saved on my hard drive, so until Amanda can get the site back up and running, and repost these, I'll make them available on my own web space.


Faces Goodie - Original and Anime Faces

Gold Goodie - 100,000 gold

Guild Goodie - all four Guild Books for Lars

Speed Goodie - Speed Crystal
BIG NOTE: Turn the speed crystal off before getting into the rowboat

Weapons Goodie - the best weapons and armor that can be bought (does not include Rhen's swords of power, and I don't think it includes Lars' orbs either)

God Goodie - all of the above wrapped up in a neat little package

All of these are .zip files - you'll need WinZip or WinRAR to extract them. Most of the files contain instructions, but there are a few missing. So...

- in your game, make sure you are NOT inside Lars' house - not in the main room, or in Rhen's room or the attic.
- save your game and close it down
- download the file and save to your hard drive
- open in WinZip or WinRAR
- extract the file named Map057.rxdata and save it into your Aveyond Data folder (right-click on the desktop icon to see the path where your game is installed) - you may want to save the original away as a backup first
- play the game, go to Rhen's slave room in Ghalarah, and you'll find a chest in a little side-addition to the room


A NOTE ON THE SPEED CRYSTAL - there is a glitch with the speed crystal and the rowboat. If you have the speed crystal turned on when you get into the rowboat, when you get out, you will walk over land and water. You will not be able to talk to people or open doors. If you walk somewhere you wouldn't normally be until later in the game, you could find yourself stranded there with no way back when the glitch wears off. Once you buy the skudder you no longer have to worry about this - it's only the rowboat that has the problem.

just d/led the god goodie and it is telling me that the file is either corrupt or invalid???

thanks Bladez - some of them gave me "unexpected end of file" when I opened them, but they still opened ok. I will rezip them and upload them again.

you only have to restart if you previously opened a goodie. Otherwise, just install it and go back to Ghalarah - you can go there any time in the game.

Hi I just downloaded the god goodie too, now if I don't open the chest it isnt active? I can go anytime and open it? or leave it closed and play the game without it?

yes. It sits there the whole time. Once you open the chest, you have the goodie and can use all the things it provides. You can leave it as long as you like before opening.

(I've actually left it there and waited until my party was up around level 69-70 and THEN used it - instant jump straight to the highest levels possible. It's a LOT harder getting from 79 to 80 than it is getting from 19 to 20 )

Thanks for the re-upload. I used the speed goodie about 3 days ago...just wondering if I can still use the god goodie without the game crashing 'coz I kinda have problems going to west isles when I replaced the speed goodie with weapons goodie. I can walk through anything even water.

no, you can't load one goodie, go and open the chest, then load another goodie and go and open the chest again. It will already be open from the first time. So you cannot load two goodies in the one game (with the exception of the portal stones and cash cow, which do not use that map or chest).

Your problems are because of the speed crystal. There's a known bug that if you have the speed crystal turned on and are using the rowboat, this will happen. Always turn off the speed crystal before getting into the rowboat. If you "take advantage" of it to go to locations where you normally wouldn't be able to go, you could well find yourself stranded there with no way to get back when the effect wears off.

Actually I just finished the game using the god goodie and we can actually change the goodies. I changed the speed goodie (already taken from the box) to god goodie and when I came back to my room the chest is close again. Same goes with others goodies.

really? That's interesting, because one or two others had mentioned in the past that they'd done that. I hadn't tested each one to see, but in the diagrams showing where to find the goodie, I noticed the chests are not always in the same place! Off to do some testing, I think
