As far as walking on water, etc....all I had to do to stop that was hit the space bar where I wanted to enter and I was inside, you might be walking over people but if you stop before them you can still talk to them by using the space bar...I thought it was fun....

Hello: I downloaded the god download to the drive but when I try to find the Aveyond location to place it in I get a message that Microsoft doesn't know the file and can't open it. By the file I mean my Aveyond ones. I have my Aveyond stuff in the C drive and that is where I placed the god download. You said that it is listed as Aveyond data file but I have no Aveyond files that have the word data. I don't know a lot about computers so could someone please explain everything. OH has anyone else noticed how plain the ingame maps are? They give me no clue as to what is where. They don't even have the towns showong or even the town names. I'm still trying to find Aveyond. By accident I found Teacup town and the town that has a miner that needs rescuing. I wish that these goodies could be done where you just type them in and they show up in the game. OH and is there any chance that the game maker will make a map that can always be seen in the game window as we play? Thank you.

Hello: How do I find out what version I have? I just recently bought it from the Arcade Town website. If it is version one would I be able to get version two without having to repay? OH and I thought that Aveyonds version two was a story about an elf named Ean whos froend disappears. Where would I be able to get the right version? Thank you.

There were two versions of Aveyond 1: Rhen's Quest, Build A and Build B. If you just got the game, you most likely have Build B.
To find your Data folder, right click on the Aveyond.exe file and go to Properties. You should see a path that reads something like C:/Program Files/Aveyond... or something like that. Your Data folder should be in that area.
Implementing the God Goodie is just a matter of replacing a map file in the Data folder with the goodie map file. _________________

Aveyond 2 is Ean's Quest. Aveyond 1 is Rhen's Quest. Both games have 2 versions.
If you have version 1, in the main menu screen there will not be a little "cloud" down in the bottom corner with an explanation of what keys to use.
Within the game, the name of the place you're in shows up in the bottom left corner on every map. There are also signs just before you reach a town that gives its name. _________________

Helo: In Aveyone it said that there is a weapon for Rhen on the Northern Island but I have not found one. All three of my party only have basic stuff from the academy town. I was able to complete the hind quest and get the harp. I also read that many monsters are magic resistant. That causes a problem because Lars does no damage unless he is fighting chickens or spiders. Rhen does 100 or more damage against chickens and spiders but against some of the other monsters she has low damage. Does the first island or the northern one have more characters that can be added to the party? Oh I looked at the page about eggs that are supposed to be goodies for us but the pictures were missing and there was a little square box with a red x in it. Are any of the eggs in the first two islands? Thank you.

I think you mean the easter egg goodies - the cash cow and portal stone. In two locations on the Eastern Isle, you can "dig up" a spot (you don't need a shovel) and get some goodies that you can use. One will give you unlimited cash, and the other will allow you to buy "traveling runes" when you visit certain places, and when you want to go there again you simply use one of these runes - it saves you having to make the entire journey.
There is a cutlass for Rhen in a chest in Aveyond - where all the bees are. I have a feeling this might only be in build B.
You have the harp, so have you taken it back to Harald at Shadwood Academy? If you do so, Rhen and Lars will graduate. You'll then be able to buy the orb staff and flood orb for Lars and equip them (orb staff via equip, flood orb via items), and he'll do a little more damage. When Rhen and Lars graduate, Elini will also be able to join the party. You can find her at the entrance to the Wildwoods (you might have met her before, but she wouldn't come with you because you hadn't graduated yet). _________________

Hello: Thank you for replying. I was able to get Elini after visiting the oracle. The harp was delivered to the academy. I checked for those items for Lars and they are very expensive. I have seen a couple places on the eastern island to dig but they all said that I need a shovel. Where can I find the spots to get the stuff? I did get the bees wax at the hive but I can't remember if there was a chest in the area. On the way there I think I saw some colored chests that I couldn't open. The walk throughs said that the druid in the wild woods is the easiest to get but I can't get to it because of the elementals. I tried again and Rhen and Elini did not even do any damage to them using melee. If the two egg locations are in the area with the elementals then I have no chance of getting to them. Any suggestions? thank you.

Hello: OH I forgot to ask something. I recieved an orb with something in it. I think it may have been from saving the miner that was trapped in the mine. Is that a quest item or can it be used by Lars? If he can use it I have no idea how to do that. Thank you.

the item you received from the miner is a gnome orb. It can also be used on Lars' orb staff, like the flood orb can. Different orbs enhance different spells Lars has.
It sounds to me like you're playing version 1. Something is telling me that ArcadeTown may still have version 1. Especially if Elini joined you after the Oracle and not after you graduated.
I forgot to ask, did you take Lars and Rhen back to the academy and choose their classes? They'll get 5 spells each. Also from Veldarah, buy up on lightning scrolls - they work really well against the elementals. When you were in the Wildwoods, did you notice if the entrance to Halloween Hills was covered with bars or not? This is just a little above the exit to the world map that takes you to Land's End. If there were no bars, you're playing version 1, and I don't think the cutlass is in Aveyond for Rhen in version 1.
As for the location of the two goodies, it's very hard to explain. I'm hoping someone has a map - if you can't find a map, there should be a new one posted when we get to our permanent site. They're both in the area between Ghalarah and Veldarah, so the worst you'll have to cope with is spiders and wild chickens - should be a walk in the park for you with your current levels. _________________

Hello: Thank you for your reply. There is a set of stairs about half way between the two towns that has a chicken and two spiders near the bottom of it. After killing them I took a few more steps then turned down and walked a few more steps to a place to dig but that spot says that a shovel is needed. The only other digging place I remember seeing is one in the wild woods. I think that Lars has the lightning spell but I don't remember it doing any damage to the elementals. With the lightning spell scrolls being 100 each it may take a long time to get the money to buy a lot of them. I wish that I could find that money egg. It would help with buying the scrolls and the Items for healing and mana. I think that I got Rhen and Lars each two training classes. Now that I completed the harp part should I get them the other three for their schedule or will there be better skills for them to get on other islands? Their levels are only between 20 and 30 now. Thank you.

ok - let's see. I'll do my best...
Head up those stairs, and continue up and to the left until you come to another set of stairs going back down (or a ladder). Go down there. You're heading in the direction of the world map. But a little before you reach the 4 spiders, head to the left, away from the path. You'll come into a little clearing where there are 2 more spiders. Right at the bottom of that clearing, and almost all the way to the left, is where you need to look. Just walk around in that area and press the space bar with each step. Eventually you'll find yourself a Cash Cow. Then each time you want more money just walk up to it and press space (I get 100,000 gold or more right at the start, and I go and buy 99 lightning scrolls from Veldarah).
Hopefully that'll get you a little closer to it. You won't actually see anything on the ground that indicates you should dig there. No piles of dirt or anything to give the spot away. _________________

Hello Shaz: Thank you for that advice. I just went through that whole area clicking on every step. I found the rune thing but not the money one. I stepped on every spot and clicked them. Was the money one moved? It is a good thing that I sawthe message about the runes because there is nothing to show that I found it. Where is the money one from the rune one? Thank you.
